SANTOSH UIKEY: Hi,i am Santosh Uikey.I am from Bhopal, a beautiful city of India with lakes.I am a Library professionals.This blog is only for my web presence. Santosh is a word of Hindi which means “Satisfaction”. In Kannada “Santosha” means Happiness. In Tamil Santhosham is happiness. It is derived from the Sanskrit Santosha, one of the niyamas of yoga. In Hindu society, it is also used as a name of a male person. It is a very popular name among Hindu. Also written as Santhosh. Santoshi also means the same and used for female name. Santoshi is also name of a Hindu Goddess. Santosh also has other meaning which is “HAPPINESS”. Usually, the name is written as Santosh in all parts of India, only in Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala it’s written as Santhosh. In Andhra Pradesh, some people keep ‘Santhosh’ as their child name due to the devotion to Goddess Santhoshimatha, one of the temple for Santhoshimatha is located at the banks of Godavari river, Dharmapuri, Karminager district, Andhra Pradesh. Santhoshimatha vratham is famous in some parts of Andhra Pradesh, which is performed to please the Goddess Santhoshimatha for the birth of children in their home.
